Call For Applications For UNITAR Social Entrepreneurship Training Program For Women 2020.

The UNITAR social entrepreneurship training program for woman aims to empower women with knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship and mentor them to develop self-led entrepreneurial initiatives and solutions (social or commercial) that will harness technologies to address socio-economic challenges in their respective countries.

This program is open only for women in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia and Sudan. It aims to target passionate and potential entrepreneurs who run SMEs, academic institutions and government agencies.

Here is the eligibility criteria;

• Be aged between 18 and 40
• Good oral and written skills
• Have a deep interest in entrepreneurship and frontier technology
• Keen passion to learn by doing and highly motivated to succeed to provide positive impact to the society
• Geographical and sectoral representation within the country

For you to part of the program you have to complete the application process below;

The UNITAR program saw that women in the selected regions face a lot of challenges while running their businesses and decided to provide women an opportunity to learn ways they can face the challenges and overcome them. It has in fact encouraged participants to take action across six areas;

Following the completion of the program the participants should be able to;

• Apply contemporary leadership and management practices to dynamic entrepreneurial venture
• Apply impactful communication techniques
• Develop a competitive strategy for their venture
• Outline existing opportunities and challenges in regard to promoting gender equality
• Explore how COVID19 pandemic affected every aspect of your life and what challenges and opportunities it presented in both the early stage entrepreneurs and established business leaders.
