Opportunity: African Women in Data Scholarship

Ingressive For Good in partnership with DataCamp has announced the African Women in Data Scholarship.

Deadline: November 7th 2021 at 11:59pm.

Data analytics is arguably one of the most sought-after skills of the decade yet women continue to be underrepresented in the field. The use of data is crucial in almost all departments right now and it is just prudent enough that we have a balanced workforce working to deliver inclusive solutions.

According to recent statistics, women make up a measly 15% of all data scientists globally and the World Economic Forum 2020 report found that only 26% of professionals employed in data and artificial intelligence in Africa are women.

This is the motivation behind Ingressive For Good partnering with Datacamp to help 1000 women build skills and careers in data.

The scholarship runs till the end of the year and will take place online.

There are a myriad of tracks to choose from. You can learn one of the following:

  • R Programming
  • Python Programming
  • Data Science
  • Data Analysis
  • Machine Learning Science and more…

Certificates will be provided for any of the completed courses and top students have a chance of job placements after the scholarship.
