The 2019 African Women In Tech Conference Kicks Off In Nairobi

The annual African Women In Tech Conference 2019 has kicked off in Kenya at the Michael Joseph Center, in Nairobi. The conference will run for two days and will include a host of panel sessions, networking forums and exhibitions.

This year’s theme is “Awaken The Techazon Within”, which draws inspiration from the Dahomey Amazons, an all-female military from the Republic of Benin. Tasked with protecting one of the continent’s last independent kingdoms, they fought as elite regiments against colonial male armies in the Franco-Dahomean Wars. Skillful, competitive, and brave, they are a testament to the potential and strength of the African woman.

The conference provides a great platform for women in the technology sector to interact with industry influencers and gain skills for career and personal growth.

Some of the conference sessions include Upgrading your skills and being ready for emerging roles in Tech, Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology, Cyber Security among other great topics.
