International Women’s Day : Be Bold For Change

Today 8th March 2017 marks the International Women’s . This is a day for celebration of how far women have come from regarding the achievement of gender parity. But generally it’s a day to push the gender agenda.  This is a great day for women across the globe to question and champion for gender parity in all sectors of life. This year’s theme, Be Bold For Change calls upon all women to call for gender-balanced leadership and question all forms of biasness towards them.

To celebrate this day, events are held by women’s networks, corporations, charities, educational institutions, government bodies, political parties, the media and further communities across the world.

Are you commited to helping girls and women achieve their ambitions? What if we took a bold step as we celebrate the International Women’s Day to help women and girls achieve their ambitions; challenge conscious and unconscious bias; call for gender-balanced leadership; value women and men’s contributions equally; and create inclusive flexible cultures?

The World Economic Forum predicts the gender gap won’t close entirely until 2186.

Working for gender parity requires consistent effort, direction and resources. There are many charities across the world, working hard to support women and girls. Through purposeful collaboration, we can help women advance and unleash the limitless potential offered to economies the world over.

We have urgent work to do. Are you ready to #BeBoldForChange this IWD 2017 and beyond?
